1860 Italianate Victorian Renovation
Wakefield, MA

A Whole House Remodel With Modern Design And A Nod To The Past

This Italianate Victorian in Wakefield, Massachusetts, built in 1865, has been updated to retain its charm while incorporating modern conveniences. The renovation includes a custom kitchen and a bright primary suite with Carlisle hickory flooring and Farrow and Ball Paint.

The kitchen features coffered ceilings, bespoke cabinetry, soapstone countertops, and wainscoting, with a centerpiece island showcasing a walnut countertop and high-end Viking and SubZero appliances.

The remodel transformed the attic into a luxurious primary suite, highlighted by reclaimed beams from a 1850 New Hampshire barn. This 1200-square-foot space includes a Carrara marble shower and a master closet island made from repurposed 1865 flooring.

A new covered back entrance leads to a custom mudroom, seamlessly integrated into the architecture, and all primary suite doors were custom-designed on-site.

This historic home has been expertly renovated to blend old-world charm with modern living.
